This prestigious Medical Center in beautiful, warm and coastal Southern California is actively seeking for a Director of Admissions. The Director of Admissions will join a family of dedicated nurses and other health care professionals in a leading acute care hospital as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, advanced primary stroke center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and 24-hour Emergency Department.The Director of Admissions will be responsible for Admitting/Registration/Patient Access experience with expertise in rules and regulations related to Admitting. The Director of Admitting will develop strategic plans, budgets, goals, and policies and procedures. The Director of Admissions will read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
The Director of Admissions will have in-depth knowledge of third-party rules and regulations related to admission, billing and collections of account receivables. The Director of Admissions will read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The Director of Admissions will have in-depth knowledge of Admitting/Registration requirements, regulations, and procedures. The ideal candidate for Director of Admissions should have extensive knowledge Medicare rules, regulations, and compliance requirements with ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. The Director of Admissions should have Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in Patient Access and hospital billing/collections in an acute care hospital setting; 4-5 years in a supervisory or management role is required in lieu of Bachelor Degree. Industry certifications preferred (Certified Revenue Cycle Executive CRCE or Certified Healthcare Access Manager CHAM).
